Crazy Awesome World.

Been a long time since I posted anything I know.  I have been meaning and meaning to get back on here for a while now, just hadn't gotten the chance.  :)  Bit of a random post, this has just been on my heart lately and I needed a place to put it, and that's what blogs are for right?

Oh my goodness so much has happened since I last posted in May...  God is so awesome, he can do so much in such a short time.  I feel blessed more now then ever than all my friends and family.  Being away has given me time to reflect, and the more I think about and remember all the craziness of my life at home, the more thankful I am for it.

  I live in a crazy awesome place, with crazy amazing people all around me.  I think about it and I realize, we don't even realize how amazing it is to meet the people that we meet.  Even though it might only be for a short time that we know that person.  I think about it this way, there are 6 Billion people on this planet and God placed you with the people he did for a reason.

  Just thinking about that boggles my mind. 

He could have put you anywhere, and with anyone out of 6 billion people.  But He decided to place you with the people that you are with. 

That is pretty amazing. 

So with that being said, be thankful for those around you.  The ones that love and care for you because, God gave us those around us for a reason.  It wasn't by accident that they are in our lives.  That those crazy amazing people are around us, are helping us, are searching out God's will with us.

This crazy amazing world is truly, truly amazing, and life is short.  So love God, love people, and praise and thank Him for those people even when it's hard.

Boredom at it's Best.

It was a dark, rainy, sunday evening.  All of our company had left, and we. were. bored.  I mean seriously, honest to goodness, bored.

There was only one logical solution to our problem. 

To make fools of ourselves on photo booth.  (makes perfect sense.)

So photo booth it was.

Well, I think that is just about enough foolishness for now.  :)  We had entirely too much fun taking these. I am expecting a "best friend resignation" from Rebecca shortly after posting these pictures.  Hopefully she will find it in here heart to forgive me someday. lol.

Anywho, I will have pictures of Georgia up soon!  Don't let me forget, because I will if I don't do it soon.

Learn Something New Every Day. (Ice Cream)

Wow, I love ice cream!  And for all of you who are asking right now, "then why don't you marry it."  My reply is...  Because I'm not old enough.  :P  (big joke in our family)

Alright, now on to the important part.  This post is for my good friend Rebecca, in remembrance of all the times that we snuck ice cream in the middle of the nigh, or... Come to think of it in the middle of the day too.  Remember when it got all over my pillow because Josiah came in when we were eating it?  Ya, good times.  

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these few tidbits about ice cream.  :)

Seriously making me want some ice cream!!

Today I am going to tell you about something very near and dear to my heart...  Coffee.  Getting to make coffee for church in the mornings every sunday has definitely given me a much greater appreciation for the drink and on top of that I just love coffee.  Only when bought pre-made though I don't do the whole, coffee at home thing, unfortunately for my wallet.  


I am going to dedicate this post to Shay, because she just loves coffee.  I also dedicate it to Josh S.  Because I am so sorry that my brother handed you that first cup, hopefully someday you will be able to loose yourself from  it's evil bonds, I have hope you will return to your former happy self that you were before you tasted the stuff. 

1. Caffeine Can Kill You
But you'd have to drink 80 to 100 cups in a hurry, health experts say. I advise not trying.


2. Coffee is actually the second most widely-traded commodity in the world, behind oil.

Do I Really?

As I sit here applying my red lipstick for no particular reason, wishing for a cup of tea (yes in a tea cup :)), coloring on a tee-shirt, and listening to Sara Bareilles.  A thought...  A question actually, occurred to me, one that has frequented my frontal lobe quite a few times during my very extended stay on this planet we call earth...

The question is...  Do I look like my mother?

 I have never thought that I really looked like my mom really at all, I had always thought that I looked more like my great grandma.  So, to settle a long disputed argument, please help me decide who I look more like.

(I did them all in black and white because the oldest one was in black and white so I couldn't really change it.)

Eyes are so amazing!  I am so glad that God gave us eyes so that we can see.  Could you imagine how hard life would be without them?

This post is dedicated to my righteous sista, Heidi.  ;)  And to all of you who saw my last random facts and were disconcerted because you really aren't a big fan of chocolate...  Here are some for the vanilla lovers out there.  :)

Tea Tastes So Much Better When...

You drink out of something cute, right?

Which is why I drink out of.....

Tea Cups.

Yes, every once in a while I like the comforting feeling of a mug in my hand on a cold winter night.

But...

 Most of the time I love the sophistication of a tea cup in my hand.  The rattle of china as you set your cup back down on your saucer....  It is just so romantic.  Why don't we drink out of these anymore?  I miss them.  We should make a tea cup come back.

I mean think about it.  They look so lonely and sad sitting up on that shelf getting all dusty.  Crying out for someone to use them more than just once  a year.  It's so sad.

And there ends my tea cup reverie.  Will they ever be used again in our everyday normal routine?...

I don't know...

White Christmas.

........Is awesome.......

Soooo, I love this movie.  One of my all time fav's.  Seriously Who wouldn't like this movie?  If you haven't seen this movie go, just do it, right now, please!  Ok, yes there are some scenes where a couple girls aren't wearing the most modest things but overall this movie is soooooo...  sweet.  :)  I've already watched it three times this fall.  You know that I'm getting itchy for the christmas season when the only movie that I want to watch is this one.  :) 

 I love old musicals.  I can live without the new ones.  They are usually stupid and just poorly done.

One of my favorite songs ever.  Oh, and see the guy on the left?  Yup that one.  He is one of my ALL TIME favorite actors.  He cracks me up.  :)

Ok, I love chocolate, and I'm guessing that most of you out there do to.  And who would have thought that it is actually super good for you too.  Yay!  This is awesomeness.


1.White chocolate really isn't chocolate. It's made from cocoa butter, the substance you get by pressing cocoa beans. Cocoa butter is absent of the cocoa solids used to make chocolate.


2.Dark Chocolate has more antioxidants than green tea and just as many as blueberries.


3.Chocolate is beneficial for proper blood flow to the lungs and other organs.

4.The minerals in chocolate help to increase brain power and function.

5.Quality dark chocolate contains flavinoids which help reduced the risk of heart disease.

Yes It Changed.

Again.....

You probably noticed today when you came to my blog that it had changed.  Do you still recognize it?  Wait don't go away...  I promise that this is the same blog, really I do.
I am beginning to think that I should change my blog name to "Obsessive Compulsive Blog Background changer."  Haha.  But seriously  Do you like it?  Or was the last one better?  I am continually conflicted about my blog background.  It's just so awesomely fun to change and mess with though. :)

Anywho, just thought I'd do a random blurt and put that out there...  Bye bye!

Oh and do you see those two guys on either side of the page staring at you?  They kinda look like some kind of weird exotic bird...  Well they just so happen to be my blog guardians...  Yup, there is such a thing.  I named the one on the right, Alfa.  And the one on the left, Romeo.  :)  I think that they are kinda scary looking but don't tell them I said that...  It might hurt their feelings so.. SHHHH...  :)

and the most recent item that made it's debut in my wardrobe on sunday, was red boots!  I have been wanting boots for quite some time now, so I was super excited when my dad asked me if I wanted these.
