Crazy Awesome World.

Been a long time since I posted anything I know.  I have been meaning and meaning to get back on here for a while now, just hadn't gotten the chance.  :)  Bit of a random post, this has just been on my heart lately and I needed a place to put it, and that's what blogs are for right?

Oh my goodness so much has happened since I last posted in May...  God is so awesome, he can do so much in such a short time.  I feel blessed more now then ever than all my friends and family.  Being away has given me time to reflect, and the more I think about and remember all the craziness of my life at home, the more thankful I am for it.

  I live in a crazy awesome place, with crazy amazing people all around me.  I think about it and I realize, we don't even realize how amazing it is to meet the people that we meet.  Even though it might only be for a short time that we know that person.  I think about it this way, there are 6 Billion people on this planet and God placed you with the people he did for a reason.

  Just thinking about that boggles my mind. 

He could have put you anywhere, and with anyone out of 6 billion people.  But He decided to place you with the people that you are with. 

That is pretty amazing. 

So with that being said, be thankful for those around you.  The ones that love and care for you because, God gave us those around us for a reason.  It wasn't by accident that they are in our lives.  That those crazy amazing people are around us, are helping us, are searching out God's will with us.

This crazy amazing world is truly, truly amazing, and life is short.  So love God, love people, and praise and thank Him for those people even when it's hard.

Thanksgiving.

Oh my, I am a little late in posting this but...  Oh well, you will just have to deal with it.

I thought that with this post I would write down a few things that I was thankful for since I didn't get to do it earlier.  So, this will be two posts very mixed and mingled into one, so much so that you wont be able to make out which post was supposed to be which.

So for thanksgiving we had oh so much food, and oh so much fun, and an oh so huge turkey, actually we had two huge turkeys.  It was yummy, it was fun, it was a lot of work, it was in short wonderful.  And man oh man, that tryptophan sure did a number on me.  :)  I was so tired I could hardly keep my eyes open!

I think though out of anything my favorite part of the meal is the dessert!  Seriously, sweets are my thing, I love sugar and candy, so when dessert rolled around I was very happy, and believe me we had a lot of it.  What is your favorite part of the thanksgiving meal?

1. I am thankful for wonderful fathers that love the Lord, and their families.

Dad was cutting up the turkey and he couldn't resist having a little snack while he was at it.

2.  I am thankful for precious time spent with friends and family.

They worked on this puzzle so hard ad didn't even finish.  It was sad.  

3.  I am thankful for little boys that make me smile and laugh, like this one.

Little Bradley is quite the cowboy.  Him and Naomi get along very well.  hehehe.

 4.  for long fun conversations with dear sisters in Christ.  It was great catching up with the A. family.  :)

We had so much fun laughing and talking with these girls. 

5.  For growing up sisters who get to be better and better at helping around the house all the time.

Lydia was very tired by the end of the day.  

6.  For the time consuming art of putting together puzzles.  I am afraid I am not very good at it, I don't have enough patience to ever finish one.  :)

I think Charles was there at that puzzle most of the evening.

7.  For childhood buddies, that turn into life long friends.

8.  For mama's that take care of and love you forever and always.  And cook awesome turkeys at thanksgiving.  :)

This turkey weighed 34 lbs.  It. Was. Huge.

I know, these guys were the center of attention that night.  :)

 9.  For precious babies, that grow into godly (in this case) young men.

Just to put your mind at ease.  No he is not dying, that purple stuff on his mouth is from 'gentian violet' and it is for thrush.  I can't believe how big he is getting!

I think that they were doing cheers here.  It was so cute to watch them.  :)

 10.  I am thankful that God provided the means for us to have a thanksgiving feast.  God is indeed good.

What is a thanksgiving day without sparkling cider anyway?  

 11. For huge tables that everyone can fit around.  :)  Dad and Josiah built this table for mom last christmas.  It is pretty awesome!

This is our table picture.  Usually for thanksgiving we set the table really nice but we didn't do that this year.  I think it had something to do with not wanting to break anymore nice plates.  Hopefully we will do that for christmas.  I always love eating out of pretty dishes, it makes the food taste that much better.  haha.

He was drinking Apples Cider out of the bottle.  I had to get a picture.

Alan looks very creepy in this picture.  On a side note...  He did make some very yummy food for all of us!  It was delicious.

 12.  I am thankful for Dessert.  It has seriously saved me from having a complete mental breakdown.  Ok, so maybe I exaggerated a little but, ya know.

Robyn made a really yummy pumpkin pie.

Charles made this.  It was kinda like a fruit pizza but not.  It was really yummy!

Mama and Lydia made this. One of my personal favorites...  Lemon Meringue Pie.  

Keziah and I made a cheesecake!  It was so yummy.  I don't know why I have never made one before.

13.  And last but certainly not least, I am thankful for Gods providence, I am thankful that He sent His son to die for us on the cross, and that He is in control.

Eyes are so amazing!  I am so glad that God gave us eyes so that we can see.  Could you imagine how hard life would be without them?

So sorry guys, I haven't posted at all this week...  But at least I can still throw some randomness at y'all, just to tie you over.  Oh, and I found my a camera.....  Well I did find it but is seems to be lost again.... I promise you it has legs.  Oh well, it's got to be around here somewhere and once I find it I will be posting a lot more pictures and events and stuff like that.

I Love Babies!

1. May Babies Are The Heaviest : One would think that January sees the heaviest babies given all the holiday eating but this is untrue. May is actually the month that sees the heaviest babies born. Usually about an average of 200 grams heavier than any other month.


2.They Can’t Cry : They can scream and holler for what they want or need, but newborns can’t technically cry. Tears can’t actually be created or released until about three weeks in. However, in some cases, it isn’t unusual for babies to shed their first tears until four or five months.


3. A Turned Head Means A Full Belly : Your newborn didn’t just see something interesting. If he or she turns her head at a spoonful of food, it is because they are full. This is also where shaking your head “no” comes from.


4. Super Baby! : Pound for pound, your baby is stronger than many animals. An oxen is the best example of compatible strength. Their strongest muscles? The legs.


5. Left or Right? : With a population that is ten percent left-handed, now is about the time you will begin noticing your child’s preference. However, if your baby is a twin, they are 22% likely to be left handed.

My Graduation Speech.

I realize that this is October and that I should have posted this back in May when it actually happened but ya know me, I just like to keep y'all in suspense.   It's all part of my evil plan.  (insert your own version of an evil laugh here)

Anyway, without further ado, here is my graduation speech.... Finally.

Ok, well maybe a little bit of ado, but anywho.  Did I mention that I graduated with the most awesome people ever!  They are all such good examples of what Godly young people should look and act like and I love them all!  (and trust me...  I need all the good examples I can get. :))

My Speech:

Most of the graduates this year can probably relate to me when I say that the most annoying thing that anyone can ask you once you tell them that you are about to graduate is "What are you going to do after you graduate?"  I know that most people mean well, and that this stems from a genuine interest in your life and a desire to find out just exactly what you are interested in, in short... It shows that they care about you.  But frankly sometimes I just don't know how to answer them and I feel like saying, "Does it matter?"  But I have not said that to anyone yet....  Much to my mothers surprise, and am not going to do it this time.

So when you asked me that question, I came up with and answer that really is kinda lame, just to ya know....  Get that one over and done with.  I realize that my worldview is slightly different them some of you out there.  So to make it up to all of you who have asked me this question in the past, and have gotten one of my lame, half hearted answers.....  Here is you answer.

First after high school, I am going to be helping in the discipleship of my younger brothers, and sisters, and building relationships with them that are worth having.  Because if you cant have a good relationship with those that love you the most, who can you have a good relationship with?



Second, I am going to help run my mothers house to the best of my ability.

Third, I am going to help my fathers business become one of those very successful, private companies that the government is continually trying to convince us is evil.  If this is indeed the case I am greatly looking forward to what they so lovingly refer to as "evil".

Fourth, convincing my mother that eighteen is in fact the magical age.

And last but not least developing a stronger deeper relationship with Jesus Christ my savior,  determining his will for my life, and living it out each and every single day, of my life.

Like Rubbish in the Windshield.

My Thoughts On...

        College, Education, and Christian Parents Negating Their 

                                      God Given Duties.                                                                 

Actually part of the reason that I am writing this is because I have been thinking about it a great deal lately and partly because I just needed to vent, and I thought my blog would be the perfect place to do it.

⁶ Train up a child in the way he should go;
   even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Not that I think that I am better than anyone else out there, in fact I am probably worse than all of you that are reading this.  But I want to start this off with a couple of questions.....  Why would I want to go to an educational institution where they are just going to pump a bunch of stuff that I don't believe in into my head, where they are going to teach me a bunch of stuff that I probably already know, or could find out very easily, and where they are going to change up history, muddle science, and reject the sovereign law, and existence of our Father in Heaven?  (Not to mention all the worthless propaganda that comes out of there.)

When did the order change from discipleship and mentorship, to large classrooms full of students taking whatever is fed to them?  What was wrong with the system of apprenticeship that was instituted in years past?

The answer my friends is because it is popular, it is accepted, because you supposedly won't be able to get a job without it, and because there just isn't anyone doing this anymore.  Here then is another question for you.  Why not?  Why are we as Christians, as warriors for Christ not taking this idea, this biblical principle, and running with it? Why are fathers  of this day and age rejecting their God given roll as protecter, provider, and teacher.  Why are mothers today running off to get a college degree, putting their children in the public education system and joining in the fray of politics, and business, along side the men?  Why are we sacrificing our children's spiritual well-being up to the god of convenience.  I do not know what possesses men, and nations to think that they can become God, but I do know that we as believers should do our best to steer clear of these public institutions, that will just fill our heads with all this metaphorical rubbish that has so cluttered the dashboard of our society today that we can no longer see the road that has been set before us.  We are much too apt to let this happen in our lives and I believe that it is, and will prove fatal in the end, should we choose to expose ourselves to the godless institution that the college system has proven itself to be.

While at the beginning we may go into these institutions untainted and optimistic, I believe in the end we will come out much the worse, with little or no benefit to our spiritual and mental well being.  Therefore brothers and sisters, I would caution you as you consider this path, as it may lead to a place from which only few are able to return.

Spring Is In The Air!

Springtime..........  Let me tell you, spring  has to be my least favorite season because

1. I don't do pastels

2. I don't get the whole bunny rabbit having eggs thing  (I mean bunnies are mammals they can't even produce eggs!)

3. I don't really like spring flowers...daffodils, tulips (ok the red ones rock, but otherwise......no thanks.)

4. It's ALWAYS raining!!  Now don't get me wrong, I like the rain in december, november...etc. all those winter and fall months, I like rain to an extent but, nine months out of the year is a little excessive!  Don't ya think??  

Now that I got all of the reasons I don't like spring out of the way, I'll tell you why I do like spring!

1. Because after spring comes summer!  I love summer, I traditionally like cold climates but summer is so fun because, you can go swimming, hiking, boating, picnicking.....etc.

2. Because if there was no spring I wouldn't have a least favorite season.

3. Because it brings new life to the world, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful things that takes place on this whole earth.  Life is a miracle and should be viewed as such!

4. Because my birthday is in spring!  lol!

Anyway just thought I'd post some of my random thoughts about spring on here, even though its not spring yet it soon will be!

My dear friend Caitlin is going to have a birthday pretty soon also and she invited my parents Josiah and me to go to dinner, bowling, and ice cream with her parents and her younger sister Jessica. I didn't get to take pictures but Jessica took lots so if you want to see them head over to her blog (http://kochfamily9.blogspot.com/)!  I had tons of fun and am so glad that she invited us!  Caitlin is a beautiful example of a submissive daughter at home striving to glorify God in everything that she does!  She is such a wonderful example to me, and a very encouraging friend.  I hope that we can celebrate many more of her birthdays to come together!

The Heavens Declare His Glory!

The other night I went outside and just had to get pictures of this beautiful sunset, this is truly the meaning of beautiful.  It reminded me of Psalm 19:1 "The Heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." 

This sunset was so beautiful I wish that I could have gotten the one of the night before also!

I really like how it got the rays of sun in there.

I have a new baby sister as of 2/23/09 we named her 'Liberty Rose Woltersdorf' she is soooo... beautiful and whats more she looks like me! I am thrilled! she weighed out at 7lb 12oz and like 20" long or something like that. She is just a doll I should be getting some pictures of her on here pretty soon!
